
Choke Defenses
Chokes are a common type of attack, often from the rear as a type of Ambush.

A type of a choke defense.
Look for the common elements in all the examples.
React before the choke is completed when possible
Strike/Kick as soon as possible whether facing or turned away
Turn Towards Attacker if attacked from rear
Clasp his hands against your body to relieve the choke

She turns and strikes.

Defense against a two hand front choke (uses Two Hand Control and B to the Base).
She clasps his hands to her to get the pressure off from her neck
then kicks repeatedly, gets head control and throws him.

He reacts before choke is complete.

He clasps attacking arm to his body and bites,
then throws and strikes as he lands.

Clasp, throw, strike, follows up by smashing attacker's
head into floor.
